The problem with wilting gifts

When our first anniversary came around, I looked at the usual gift guides and felt completely uninspired. Flowers wither in five days. Chocolates get eaten in an afternoon. Expensive luxury gifts often lack soul, and paper greeting cards end up forgotten in the back of a drawer.

I didn't have a massive budget to spend, but I had time, effort, and our shared memories. I wanted to give her something that actually captured our late-night drives, inside jokes, and the quiet moments that made me fall in love with her in the first place.

Late nights & a private prototype

So, I stayed up until 3 AM writing code. I built a private website with our favorite unedited camera roll photos, our song playing softly in the background, a live ticker counting every second we had been together, and a digital envelope containing a sealed letter.

When she opened the link the next morning, she cried. She didn't just look at it once—she saved the link to her phone's home screen. Whenever we were apart or having a stressful day, that little webpage became our shared sanctuary to reconnect and smile.

Soon, close friends saw what I made and asked if I could build one for their partners too. That was the moment Sirius Love was born: so any couple in the world can build an unforgettable, private space for their memories—without needing to write a single line of code.
